Any girls out there interested in playing junior competition golf can obtain information firstly from their local club or you can contact our Dalhousie Junior Organiser Judi Maywood by email or phone 5783 1112. The Women's Golf Victoria website is a very good source of information and well worth checking out.
WGV recommend that all junior girls playing golf in Victoria – whether just starting out or a state level player - join the Girls Golf Club. The standard annual membership fee is $11.00 but girls who are already members of affiliated golf clubs pay only $5.50. Membership includes quarterly "Junior Mailouts" including a junior newsletter, information updates from the WGV Junior Committee and entry forms for upcoming camps, clinics and tournaments. Application forms for the 2007 Girls Golf Club can be downloaded here.

Thanks to Helen Flentje (Gisborne), Barb Fisher (Yea) and Liz Amos (Marysville) for the constant hard work with juniors at their clubs.
Hidden Valley also has a great junior program up and running.

Dalhousie entered one team in the Kay Mahlook Shield, 2008. This was a handicap match play event against districts from all over Victoria. Our team was entered in Division 3 and consisted of:
Jess Pickwick (Kilmore) (9)
Emily Crawford (Gisborne) (39)
Maria Cappello (Kilmore) (42)
Natalie Stuart (Gisborne ) (43)
We squared against Bendigo 2 on the first day at Neangar Park, won at Morong against North West Metro which saw us sitting in a good position for the last day at Eaglehawk but alas it wasn't to be and we went down to Northern 3 - 0. Thanks to all the girls who made themselves available.

A great time was had by one and all. Also thank you to Helen Flentje, Carmel Bourne and Marg Crump for their help during the three days.
